Today's special guest Craig Archibald, author of The Actor's Mindset: Acting as a Craft, Discipline, and Business, says there are 5-simple yet powerful strategies that are vital to handling a crisis.
Admit failure Get excited about a setback Fail fast and move on Practice risk management Rebound with confidence To quote Craig, " I live and work in the crisis capital of the world: Hollywood, where people's fortunes can turn on a dime. Early on in my own career as an actor, I experienced a heartbreaking setback that taught me one of the most important lessons of my life; no matter how well you're doing, a crisis will happen. So best to make a plan for dealing with it."
Failure is a learning experience and it often provides invaluable lessons that you can take with you through the rest of your life. Being afraid of failure stope you from growing and can block the creativity and natural instincts that enable you to perform at your best. And surprisingly to some, when you give yourself the freedom to mess something up, you are far less likely to do so.
Craig Archibald is a writer, firector, producer, actor, coach and now author, with a roster of A-listers as well as aspiring stars, whose professional career began at 15 and includes award-winning film and television productions. The founder of Archibald Studio, he's worked with countless actors. With his powerful strategies for success that cross into every field, he is a passionate mentor.

South Hamilton, MA – Jane Song is a life coach and a trained therapist who empowers her clients to live the life they have always dreamed of.
Jane focuses on helping people get unstuck in life by navigating challenges and discovering their potential so they can reach their life goals.
Prior to launching her coaching practice, Jane spent eight years in the fashion industry working with renowned design brands such as Karl Lagerfeld, Kate Spade, and Paul Smith, moving eight times internationally and living on four different continents.
“I work with my clients to restore their identity because it took me forever to find out who I am,” admits Jane. “I went through a journey to find out who is Jane. There was always something pulling me forward each time, not to say the fear wasn't there, but every time I moved, I was on a path for something greater.”
A coach is someone to talk to about tomorrow. What can we do tomorrow to make our lives better? That’s why Jane’s work is so completely transformational. She helps her clients see how disconnected the actions they take are from their values.
“My job is to connect with them and help them to discover their dreams in life, what pulls them forward,” says Jane. “It’s really to inspire people to discover who they really are and use that power to pull them forward toward their future self.”
Of course, there is no express to success. We all have to go through hurdles, but those challenges will make us stronger.
“My goal is to coach you to have breakthrough moments when you realize you have what it takes to succeed.”

The Key to Discovering Purpose by Energy Therapist Dina Vitantonio Through my years as an Energy Therapist, the most popular question I’ve been asked is “how do I find my purpose?”. It’s a question that takes one years to discover, lifetimes for others, and for some never at all. However, I have found those who’ve uncovered and live their purpose seem to demonstrate a deep connection within themselves.
These individuals appear to have a calmness, an understanding of who they are, a universal relativeness. Some have reported their purpose came about as a series of synchronistic events. Others share a feeling of being in union with something greater, as if a higher realm is guiding their life, organically unfolding toward a specific direction.
During one of my sessions with a long time client, we began talking about some of the struggles she experienced around not feeling fulfilled.. When I asked what made her associate the two, she expressed “my biggest worry is being insignificant…”
Following our call, I spent days reflecting on what it was about “purpose” that made my client and many others strive or stress to achieve this thing we place so much value on.
According to Anthony L. Burrow, Human Development specialist, a sense of purpose is integral to the human experience… “Purpose is a forward-looking directionality, an intention to do something in the world… It’s different than a goal, which can be accomplished.”
